Coin Pop App Review
- Name: Coin Pop
- Company: JustDice GmbH
- Time: Get paid to play mobile games
- Membership Eligibility: Worldwide
- Price: Free
What is Coin Pop?
oin Pop is a viral app that rewards you for installing and playing free games on your phone.
The app is owned by JustDice GmbH, from the AppLike group. This is a German company that also operates dozens of similar apps such as AppStation, App Flame, Cash Alarm, and Money RAWR.
They all operate similarly, giving coins every minute that you play sponsored games. Once you reach the minimum payout threshold, you can redeem your coins for real cash via PayPal and a variety of e-gift cards.
Although the app works worldwide, the availability of games differs from country to country. Coin Pop usually provides more game opportunities in the US, Canada, Australia, and European countries.
Is Coin Pop App a Scam?
Coin Pop is 100% legit as I tested the app and cashed out very quickly. Also, many people claim that they have received multiple payments from Applike GmbH with no issues.
Here is a screenshot from my PayPal account as proof of payment.
Although Coin Pop is legit, it’s important to mention that it does not guarantee any winnings and users have no right to any reward. You can check for yourself by reading the “Terms and Condition”.
So, despite playing games for hours and reaching the minimum payout, you may never cash out. It’s unfair and unsettling the fact that apps can reject paying users, but unfortunately, that is the case with most reward apps.
Some users get flagged for suspicious behavior, which can be very frustrating as the company usually does not state the exact reason. In some cases, people get banned for breaching the “terms and conditions” without even realizing it.
Therefore, it is crucial that you read that document carefully to make sure you are not breaking any rules. For example, Coin Pop does not allow multiple devices on the same internet connection (IP).
Keep in mind that apps like Coin Pop are prone to errors. You may not receive the correct number of coins, or you may be blocked for no apparent reason.
Important Update: Since I first wrote this review in 2019 Coin Pop seems to have gone downhill as I can see way more complaints than before. Lot of users report the following:
- Coins are not adding up.
- The app stopped working.
- Installed apps have disappeared from the list.
Pros and Cons
- Easy way to earn money.
- There are new games almost every day.
- Depending on your country, you will get 5,555 or 4,444 coins as a signup bonus.
- Generous affiliate commission.
- Low pay.
- The more you play a game, the fewer coins you earn per minute.
- The minimum cashout amount has increased to $10 or £10 (UK).
- You may not get paid after putting so much time into it.
- Lots of people report missing coins and technical problems that prevent them from cashing out.
- Coin Pop is not available for iOS devices.
How Does Coin Pop Work?
Coin Pop gets paid by game developers whenever you download and play their games.
Although these games are free, players can buy add-ons in order to enhance their gaming experience. That’s how game developers make money and can afford to advertise their apps on Coin Pop.
In turn, the company shares part of their revenue with people who try these game offers.
Next, I will show you how to register and start collecting coins!
Coin Pop is only available for Android devices, and therefore, it can be found and installed directly on Google Play.
After the installation, you must consent to Coin Pop collecting your registration data such as your email address, date of birth, and gender. In compliance with privacy regulations, you can withdraw your consent at any time.
Next, you must grant Coin Pop access to your usage data so the company can detect your playtime and give you coins.
Simply tap on “Grant”, select Coin Pop, and activate “Allow usage tracking”.
In the UK, you will get 5555 coins as a start-up bonus, which is approximately £0.43. In other countries such as the US, the start-up bonus is 4,444 coins.
Coins Vs Cash
Before you download any game, find out the minimum points required to cash out in your country.
You can check this by tapping on the green dollar sign right at the top-right corner. Then, tap on the payment method of your choice. I always choose PayPal.
Then, calculate how much money you will earn per minute of gameplay. For example, in the UK, users can redeem 119281 for £10 via PayPal, so that gives £0.08 per 1000 coins.
When you open Coin Pop, you will see a list of games available and the number of coins you will get per minute of gameplay.
For example, Township was offering 219 coins per minute.
All you have to do is tap on “Play & Collect”, install the game on Google Playstore and start playing.
Different from other reward apps, you don’t need to reach any specific level or any number of points in the game to get credited. All you have to do is play or at least pretend that you are playing.
The More You Play, The Less Your Earn!
Although they say you will earn a specific number of coins per minute, your reward will decrease over time.
Yep! The longer you play a game, the fewer coins you will earn per minute. This happens because the developer pays Coin Pop a fixed fee for every new user, so the app has to stop registering coins at some point!
However, they prefer doing it gradually so that you play the game for a longer period.
Once you have played it for long enough, it’s best to install another game or you will get stuck,
Many people think Coin Pop is cheating on them when they discover they are not earning even half of Coins promised per minute.
That’s not cheating, but in my opinion, the company should inform users when they open the app for the first time. Otherwise, they may have unrealistic expectations about the amount of money they can earn.
For example, the first-time user might assume just because it says 300 Coins/minute, he or she will make 9000 coins after half an hour of gameplay.
How Much Money Can You Earn?
The amount of money you can earn with Coin Pop depends on the number of games available in your country, the rate of pay, and your playtime.
In wealthy countries such as the UK, the US, and Europe, users earn more coins per minute and get more offers.
On the other hand, the cost of living is usually higher, so regardless of your country, you will always make pocket money. That’s for sure!
A few cents per minute of gameplay will not get you far, but if you already play for fun, you might consider using Coin Pop. It adds up, and without even noticing, you may eventually reach $10 within a few weeks.
Another way to earn coins is by inviting your friends to install Coin Pop through your referral link.
You will get 250 coins for every friend that you invite plus 25% of all the coins they earn.
The person that you refer will also earn 25% of all the coins you earn, which is cool!
To refer someone, tap on this icon next to the green payout button and then “Invite”.
When you reach the minimum payout threshold, you can redeem for PayPal and e-Gift cards from Amazon, Steam, iTunes, Starbucks, and Zalando.
The minimum payout depends on your country and the payment method. In the UK, users could cash out with as little as £0.50 but now, the minimum amount has increased to £10 (119281 Coins)
Coin Pop usually processes payments within just a few hours!
Conclusion – Is Coin Pop a Scam?
Coin Pop is a legit application that you can use to make money while discovering and playing mobile games.
If you play games frequently, then Coin Pop is a no brainer because it means free money in your pocket.
Now, if you are not a big fan of games, and you are just doing it for money, I’m afraid this app is not the best option for you.
